The Vagonár Boarding House is situated in the small spa town of Vyšné Ružbachy on the eastern slopes of the Spišská Magura hills at an altitude of 623 metres above sea level. Thanks to this location, it offers peace and quiet in beautiful countryside, picturesque scenery as well as extraordinary natural phenomena, among which there is the unique Travertine Crater.
The resort offers excellent conditions for summer holidays including sport activities, biking tours or swimming in the thermal swimming pool. Vyšné Ružbachy Spa itself provides the visitors of our boarding house with non-residential spa treatment on request. Excursions to the nearby High Tatras, Pieniny National Park or the historical towns of Spiš will enrich your stay with us.
In the winter season, ski terrains can be accessed 100m from the boarding house and is a great attraction offering excellent conditions for advanced skiers and beginners. The hill includes six ski-lifts ranging from 150 to 1000 metres. Man-made snow is created when necessary.
Our accommodation offers two and three bedded rooms each with its own shower and toilet / extra beds available /. A television set can be obtained upon request. The capacity of the boarding house is seventy-nine standard beds and eleven extras.
The boarding house restaurant is connected to our summer terrace and offers catering besides its regular menu. The seat capacity of the restaurant is eighty-five and the terrace is forty. The boarding house has a local-style wine bar with forty-four seats, which is ideal for a pleasant stay with family or for social events.
The boarding house has: a sauna, a fitness centre, table tennis, billiards and a common room with a television set. Outdoor activities include tennis, badminton, ball games and mountain bike rentals. One can spend pleasant evenings sitting around the campfire if desired.
